For Cavill, his future as the character Clark Kent/Superman has been shrouded in mystery ever since 2017’s Justice League released.While Cavill did participate in 2021’s Zack Snyder cut of the film, many reports and rumors suggested that due to DC pivoting away from the “Snyderverse” and DC Extended Universe as a whole, Cavill would not be returning to play the iconic superhero.However, Cavill has never outright said that and has instead played it coy whenever he referred to the role.
