According to TVLine, British actress Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who, Sense8) has officially decided to exit her leading role in NBC’s medical drama New Amsterdam. Agyeman, who has been playing the role of Dr. Helen Sharpe for four seasons, won’t be able to return for the show’s upcoming fifth and final season.Agyeman also took to Instagram to confirm the news by sharing a statement, where she expresses her heartfelt gratitude for the fans’ support.
