However, Ayanokoji refuses. Immediately after, the announcement is made for the next special exam. Ayanokoji heads to the meeting room and sees Yukimura, Hakase, and Karuizawa. A teacher explains the rules for the special exam. In this exam, students are divided into eight groups, all named after planets. A group consists of four students from Class C and D, then three from Class A and B. The test will run for three days.On the first day, the school will assign someone in the group as the VIP. The group will have time to discuss who the VIP is twice daily. On the last day, all students except the VIP are expected to submit a guess. The test presents four cases, which all have varying outcomes. As such, the students decide to take on different strategies. At the beginning of the test, Ayanokoji and Suzune show each other that none of them are VIPs. Shortly after, Kakeru arrives to interrogate Suzune, but she doesn’t say anything.During the first discussion, Group Mars starts with introductions. Ichinose facilitates the discussion and suggests the group follows Case 1. However, members from Class A refuse to participate in the discussions. Some members of the group discuss other possible cases and debate them. At the end of the conversation, Shiho confronts Karuizawa, claiming that Karuizawa bullied someone in their class. Machida shows up to stop them. During the second discussion, the group is at a stalemate.
