The Politics of the Tea Party in America

In the past two years, the American political landscape has been transformed by a new group of people calling themselves the Tea Party. The Tea Party rose onto the scene in mid-2009 and had become a major political force by the November 2010 elections. The influence of this movement is known inside U.S. political circles. What’s not as well known is who these people are and what they are really all about.

The Tea Party began as a reaction to the world economic collapse of September 2008. That collapse brought high unemployment to America for the first time in almost 3 decades. In late 2008 and early 2009, businesses were shedding jobs at a rapid pace. The result was U.S. unemployment nearly doubling from around 5% in 2008 to around 10% in 2010. During this period, many people felt that the new administration was not dealing effectively with the problem.

Instead of a focus on job creation, they felt that the politicians were wasting money on failed stimulus plans and a health care bill that not many people were convinced would save the country money or provide better health care. The Tea Party movement formed with the purpose of protesting the perceived fiscal irresponsibility of the government. They held large national rallies on tax day April 15 and Independence Day July 4.

In 2010, the Tea Party channeled their energy toward affecting the November elections. They fielded candidates in congressional and senate elections from coast to coast. Their candidates all ran on the platform of cutting spending and getting the country’s economic house in order. The result was a takeover of the US Congress by Tea Party friendly candidates and an increased influence in the U.S. Senate.

With their newly gained power, Tea Party supported politicians are planning to deeply cut government spending and reduce the size of government back to sustainable levels. Now that they are in a position of partially governing, it remains to be seen if the Tea Party can accomplish their goals in the face of stiff opposition from the establishment of both major political parties.

World Peace: Is it Realistic?

Many well intentioned people over the centuries and millennia have been dreaming of the day when we can finally say we have achieved world peace. Coming off of two world wars and a nearly 50 year cold war, the yearning for world peace is now stronger than ever. The dream is a noble one-a world where we all live together in harmony and tolerance is the order of the day. But beyond the emotion of it, is it realistic to think that our world will ever achieve a lasting peace?
If we examine human history, the prognosis is certainly not very encouraging. We can go back thousands of years to civilizations that were very well organized and certainly must have had similar desires as we have today. So why were they unable to create this elusive lasting peace? Was lack of education the problem? Well, the Egyptians who built the pyramids more than 5,000 years ago were certainly very well educated. The Greek philosophers were also an educated bunch. They were certainly capable of coming up with solutions to the world’s problems. Why didn’t they?
What about us? How do we compare to our ancestors? What makes us so much more enlightened that we think we can do what they were unable to do? Is it our modern technology? How about our level of “tolerance” toward those with different viewpoints. Can any of these make the difference? I have to admit I’m skeptical.
As long as we have a world with imperfect human beings that have woven inside their DNA greed and selfishness and a natural yearning to have more than their neighbors, I don’t see how our situation will ever change. Humans have always been selfish and have always wanted to have more. Even in today’s enlightened society, we still seem to have more takers than givers. The challenge as I see it is to make sure that 100% of the world’s population develops an attitude and mindset of serving others above themselves. To me, that seems unrealistic, but I guess it doesn’t hurt to try.

Is World Peace Achievable?

World peace is one of those lofty goals that people have already dismissed as a fantasy. It would be nice to have but it isn’t realistic with opposing religions, world views and the antagonistic nature of humans occupying our planet.

World peace may not be achievable in our lifetimes, particularly with the volatile political and cultural situation in the Middle East, but many people are actively working to help bring about a social change that will lead the world into a state of universal peace. Some of the most obvious indicators of this is the steps world leaders have taken to establish worldwide political partnerships that help to dissolve the differences between individual nations and tie the futures of the people amongst many countries together. These agreements, including the League of Nations and the United Nations Organization, make it more difficult for individual nations to precipitate war or aggression upon other states because the most political, economical and social success is found when sharing goals and objectives.

Cooperation amongst the world superpowers in fields ranging from science, law, education, economics and health all help to build a foundation that will eventually lead to world peace. The need to show dominance or superiority should be quelled by the idea that the entire world should be considered an ally and a source of continued support.

And yet even the significant steps taken toward establishing a working world order since World War II have not been enough to convince most people that world peace is achievable. There are currently several wars that are engaged in throughout the world and aggressions between countries continue to swell. Some people believe that world peace may come only after some sort of unimaginable horror wipes out a portion of the earth’s people – another holocaust or a nuclear war. But as problems become more widely recognized as global, the need for peace will become more urgent.

What Practical Measures Will Help Bring World Peace?

Although there are some people who believe that war, conflict, anarchy and terrorism will always exist as long as people are on Earth, there are a number of practical measures that will help to create a world community that relies upon one another and makes it difficult to use aggressive tactics on any other nation.

Despite the practical nature of it, banning nuclear weapons, germ or bio-warfare and the use of poisonous gasses are steps that world peace organizations have been promoting in various ways but will not lead to an eventual end of warfare even if every suggestion was undertaken. People are ingenious war-faring people and have been inventing new wars to hurt one another since man first picked up a rock. Solving individual conflicts (specifically over land, resources and other sources of world-wide arguments) will also not lead us to world peace. There will always be another reason to feel disgruntled if the underlying attitude amongst people of this Earth do not change.

Groups of nations must work harder and more diligently to produce meaningful and formal relationships with one another than establish cooperation as a key to each nation’s economic, cultural and political success. World leaders have recognized that world-wide cooperation is needed if world peace will ever be an achievable goal but issues such as ignorance, hatred and jealousy can be difficult problems to tackle.

When world governmental organizations tackle identify and tackle world-wide problems, the need for accelerated mutual reliance becomes apparent. For instance, the issue of global climate change, the world economic situation and other global problems have been identified and tackled over the last few years by multi-governmental associations. Although these problems obviously haven’t been solved, the cooperation on a scientific and technological front help to cement the idea that a global community is stronger than a single country can be on its own.

Knowledge Of Human Rights Can Have Better World

Human rights as the name say the rights which belong to human life. Human rights are the rights and the freedom which every human is entitled. In today’s world everyone should know their rights and duties so that they can live happy and also do not harm any other human as same rights are with another human as well.
The origin of Human Rights movement is Europe and the movement was started after Second World War by the socialists of the country who had thinking, love, and respect for all other human beings. They were the people who think for the betterment of every human being in the time where every human was envy from other on basis of status, country, race and even religion.
Human rights movement focused on spreading brother hood country to country and also made a huge success at that time. Many of the countries realized that brother hood is the most powerful weapon which can help them. Many of the countries joined hands and adopted this moment and started working together not for their benefit but for the benefit and betterment of human race.
This was the time when with the collaboration of mutual interest from many countries founded United Nations Organization and then several rules and regulations are set for each country and also many countries signed treaties with each other to work together, to exchange resources and services.
Now every human also should understand, know and follow the principles of human rights as another person who is in front of him whether poor, or different country, or from different religion also have same rights and freedom which is enjoyed by a person.
This is the only way to spread brotherhood and maintain world peace for the betterment of everybody.

Religions Involved In World Peace

There are several religions being practiced in this world. There are various conditions where it becomes really tough to judge which to follow and which not to follow. With the numerous religions present in this world there arises the need to help and cultivate the feature to fulfill the desires and expectations of the people living and practicing their respective religion.
Though at times people there have been many conditions aroused into the society where people may like or dislike the views and behavior of the persons of different religions. But you can never find a situation where you can see there is a religion which wants the people to hate the other religion.
But it is very much seen that people are still taking it in an offensive manner and may lead to a war criticizing the other religion. But this kind of situation is not being practiced by the new generation. So, the conditions may arise in some conditions where is need to help and educate people of different religions to educate about the other religions to create respect for all the religions into their mind.
Hinduism which is proven the world’s ancient religion always believed in world peace. From ancient time the followers of Hinduism religion always said and followed a phrase “Vasudaevakutumbaka” which means that “this world is one family”. Even the Sikhism also spread the word that “All creatures are created by god and god belongs to all of us”.
Christianity also spread peace among all by showing faith and helping each other in all times. These things shows that creator of all religions always followed that every person living in this world should live with bother hood.
No religion ever said yes to all, all teach us to respect and love each other. People should believe in their self and love every creature of this world.

United Nations Organization

When with expansion of the world powers it arises with the need of the world security as well. So there was a great evolution of the United Nations Organization which has come with the common goal to help all individuals of the world. This was being achieved by making the common laws for all and to make the international security as well.
The need of United Nations Organizations was the development in the economy; to make progress in society; to have the human rights and to get the world peace. This effort of the United Nations Organizations was being made many years back after the world war to up come with the disasters of the wars being aroused by different nations to become a world power.

The formation of this organization helped by maintaining a platform where the persons of each country can come and put their views in front of the whole group and to discuss each and every decision which needs to be taken collectively.
Lately the formation of this united nations organization tend for the uplift the lower parts of the society to cope with the various disasters which they are required to face time to time. So it also formed several organizations which were being supported by the United Nations Organization such that they have the certain work assigned to them.

How to Get Americans More Interested in Current Events

Americans all over the world and of all types of educational and financial backgrounds are surprisingly unaware of their country’s background and history. Consequently, this can be detrimental to a society since having a common knowledge and interest in the roots can help to build unity among residents. In an article published by USA Today in 2008, the statistics on how much people knew about their country were quite surprising: only half of the adults asked could correctly list the branches of government, and just over half knew that Congress has the power to declare war. When asked this question, over one third said that this power was given to the president.

Understanding the history of the country can also help individuals to understand more of what is going on in the current political situation. Many people enjoy learning about and following current politics. However, without knowledge of the history, they cannot fully grasp the system and its many components. Another key aspect to following current affairs and understanding the basis for these systems is that it helps people value their country when they know what it took to get the system to where it is today.

Offering news on all media venues could help to encourage all individuals to partake in current events. There are some applications for mobile phones that provide breaking news updates right to the home screen, which makes it almost impossible to miss. Offering a free newspaper subscription to online or print newspapers can also encourage people to actively stay current on affairs, especially if it doesn’t take much to sign up and receive updates via email. Making sure that all Americans are updated on the world around them can help to promote tolerance of others and also raise awareness of the situations of the many people around them.

Society & Life

A society is basically being used as the collection of people who collectively work for common goals and beliefs and they should have some relations among themselves and have their certain roles as well. The society also depends on the types of persons involved and this is also being observed that they might have their certain territories as well.
The society comprises of certain role of each individual being involved in it. There are certain situations where all the persons are required to complete the task. However, there are variable conditions where in the society persons themselves assign different tasks being assigned to the best possible person present in front of them.
This is also being observed that the society also may depend upon the associations they might have among the individuals present among them and the feeling to have the strong boding among themselves. This interdependence of the people also decides the role of that person into the society as well.
There might be some certain conditions where call it as a society such as the nationality of the person or the culture to which they belong, this also depends largely on the lifestyle of the individual and hierarchy of the individuals as well.
It can also be viewed that like other people of different groups, the society also wants that its individuals should or can achieve or fulfill their goals and wishes which they might not be able to complete by themselves or on their own.
The society people may not have the common view for all the persons into that society but they work collectively and may talk or vote among themselves to come to common point or conclusion. So for a person to live into a society it is very much important to respect and listen to the views of other people present in the society.

Tolerance To Society

The tolerance is the term being used to identify the role and part of the world powers to get their image and effect into the society. The current society has expanded so much in terms of power that it is really tough to understand the role of each individual in a society and to respect their presence into the society.
The current society is so much diversified that it is really very to understand to the after affects and needs arising into the society. And there is a large expansion of the powers among it is really a mater to get worried as the people of one society need to tolerate the others in terms of powers and resources.
With the wide expansion of power among all the society has a huge pressure the persons from each group and trade which is thus resulting into the extensive competition of the people among them.
This might also be possible for the persons of lower society are trying to move to the upward in order to not tolerate the pressure being aroused on them by the others. The expansion of the work and area into the society arises with the challenge to maintain their reputation into the society as well.
Now as the world is moving fast each and every part of the world is tolerating to that of the other to maintain the peace into the society. As to live in the current world this is very much required to have the peace and understanding among all.
This is experienced that there are certain areas in which the persons are looking into the expansion or to make their identity in various areas. But this becomes really tough when the person has to face the situation in front of the person already at a good position in that field.
